Erika is a recent graduate of Sussex Central High School where she studied health and wellness. She played four years of softball, three years on varsity where she received the following awards: First Team All-State Pitcher, Second Team Utility, and Honorable Mention her sophomore year. Her senior year she was honored with Delaware Gatorade Player of the Year 2008. Erika has been a dedicated softball player her whole life. This summer she played for the Delaware Diamonds. During her spare time she likes to workout, play softball and spend time with family and friends. Erika has also been known for her compassion with coaching young girls in her community. During the fall of 2008 she will be attending Salisbury University where she will major in Elementary Education.
"Katie" will be entering her junior year at Wilmington University this fall. She is enrolled in the Legal Studies program anticipating a career in the field of law. In her freshman season Katie posted a 12-10 record with a 2.46 ERA and was named to the All-CACC Tournament Team. In her sophomore year she improved her record to 16-8 with a 1.18 ERA. Four of her losses were by a 1-0 score and did not lose a game by more than two runs. For her efforts Katie was chosen to the NCAA Division II Daktronics All-Northeast Region first team and National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Northeast Region second team. She was also named first team All- CACC and MVP for the Lady Wildcats. During her free time Katie enjoys being with her family, friends and boyfriend. She also enjoys shopping and the beach.
Kristina recently graduated from Eastern Regional High School. She was a member of the National Honors Society and graduated with Distinguished Honors. She was selected to First Team All Conference, Second Team All South Jersey and her teamís Offensive MVP during her senior season. During her free time Kristina enjoys reading, going to the movie and spending time with her family and friends. Kristina will be attending Methodist University in North Carolina and will be majoring in Athletic Training.
Danielle recently graduated from Caravel Academy where she played field hockey, basketball and softball at the varsity level while holding a 3.2 GPA. Danielle was involved in the Blue/Gold Club, Yearbook, and Bible Study throughout high school. She has been a starter for her high school team since the 8th grade at shortstop winning two state championships. She received honorable mention as a freshman and First Team All-State her junior and senior years. Danielle has been captain since 10th grade and enjoys being with family and friends during free time. Danielle will be attending Elon University where she plans to become a physical therapist.
"Alli" recently graduated from Stephen Decatur High School in Berlin, MD. She was in the top five percent of her graduating class and received several academic honors which include: Principalís List, Citizenship Award for Outstanding Service, and was recognized as a Maryland Distinguished Scholar for her academic achievement. Alli was a part of the National Honors Society, Student Government Association, The Hawk Newspaper, and the National English Honor Society Chapter. On the field Alli was a two sport athlete, participating in both field hockey and softball, and received eight varsity letters. She received All-Conference, All-District and All-American honors for both field hockey and softball. She was voted her team MVP for softball and named to the First Team All-Bayside squad for third base. Alli was also recognized by the Bayside Conference coaches as the Conference Player of the Year. In her spare time she enjoys scrapbooking, lying on the beach, traveling and working out. Next year Alli will attend Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina where she will study sports journalism and compete in Division II field hockey and softball.
Amy is a recent graduate of St. Elizabeth High School where she was a varsity softball player for four years. She led her team as one of the captains for the last three years. She also played volleyball all four years. She used her leadership skills as a peer tutor for underclassmen at St. Eís. Amy was a member of the National Honor Society and played an active role in publishing her senior yearbook. She loves to work out in the gym, go running, and be outdoors. She also enjoys working with kids and spends her volunteer hours at the New Castle County Safety Town Camp teaching kids about home and traffic safety. Amy is looking forward to playing softball at the University of New Haven this fall where she will major in Biology with plans to become a physical therapist.
Jessica graduated from Pennsbury High School in Fairless Hills, PA with a 3.8 GPA. She was a member of the National Honor Society, prom committee, Future Educatorís Club and Sports Nite Art Committee. Jessica played varsity field hockey for four years and varsity softball for three years. She also volunteered as a tutor in an elementary school. Jessica will attend the University of Pittsburgh in the fall to play softball and major in secondary education history.
Bethany is a current student at Delaware Valley College where she just finished a very successful year both on and off the field. In the fall she was announced as a Second Team All-Freedom Conference midfielder for field hockey, Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletic Corporation (MASCAC) All-Academic Field Hockey Team and Philadelphia Inquirer Fall Academic All-Area Field Hockey Team. For softball she was named First Team All-Freedom Conference outfield and MASCAC and Philadelphia Inquirer Academic Teams. She made the Deanís List both semesters this past year. In her free time, Bethany enjoys being with friends and family, playing sports, running, working out, working with horses, reading, traveling, listening to music, and cooking.
Caitlin is a recent graduate of William Penn High School. As a four-year Varsity starter, Caitlin was a two-time 2nd Team All-State, 1st Team All-Conference Selection Player as a shortstop and Captain her Senior year. Caitlin celebrated her 100th hit this past season with a grand-slam. Caitlin was also a three-year Varsity starter in field hockey at midfield and received 2nd Team and 1st Team All-Conference honors in 2006 and 2007. Caitlin was a member of the William Penn Sportsmanship Committee from 2005-2008 where she helped to organize all sportsmanship activities for each school year, volunteered with the Special Olympics and helped to collect, organize and mail off care boxes to our Troops. Caitlin was voted ìMost Athletic Femaleî by her 2008 classmates. In her free time, Caitlin enjoys working out, spending time with her friends, playing and watching sports, listening to music and going to the beach. Caitlin will be attending Wilmington University this fall majoring in Education.
Kathleen is a Caravel Academy graduate where she received 1st Team All-State recognition for three years as a Center Fielder. Currently enrolled at Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL, she is majoring in Communications and continues to learn life lessons through softball. Leadership skills and hard work have earned her the title of Captain at her college as well as recognition by her teammates as MVP her freshman year. Besides playing softball, Kathleen enjoys shopping, water sports and hanging out with her friends. She will continue her education at Lynn this fall.
