Kali recently graduated from Greencastle-Antrim High School in Pennsylvania, where she played shortstop for the Blue Devils. While playing for the Blue Devils, she was named 2 time 1st Team All Conference and 2nd Team Public Opinion Softball All-Star. She was an honor role student, part of the Big Buddy Program, Environmental Club and Peer Tutors. She spent many hours volunteering at the local Humane Society and heads a donation drive annually for local animal shelters. She has completed internships at the Elementary and Primary schools in the district, and especially enjoys working with the special needs students. Currently, she helps coach a girl’s minor league softball team and plays travel softball with the Frederick Heartbreakers. She will be attending Hood College in the fall where she will major in Elementary/Special Education..
Jacklyn attended Waterloo High School and will be attending Caldwell College in the Fall. Jacklyn’s many 2010 softball accomplishments include: Section V Class BB MVP, Class BB Sectional Winner, Finger Lakes East- 1st Team, and Waterloo Triple Crown Recipient.
Kim graduated from Abington Senior High School in Pennsylvania June 2010. She played four years of varsity softball and field hockey while maintaining a 3.6 GPA, and was inducted into the National Honor Society. In her senior year, Kim was the captain of the softball and field hockey teams. She received most valuable player in her senior year for playing both softball and field hockey. She received the Suburban One All League 1st team for softball in her senior year. She played the last three years with her travel softball team the Sellersville Belles and volunteered with mentoring elementary schools students. She also volunteered for the Ronald McDonald House. She will be attending and playing softball at West Chester University of Pennsylvania in the fall and will major in Health and Physical Education. She enjoys reading, listening to music and working out with her sister.
"Katy" will attend Mount St. Mary's University to major in physical therapy as well as play on the collegiate softball team. She just recently graduated from Greencastle-Antrim High School where she participated on the varsity volleyball for four years and served as a captain for one year. Along with volleyball she was a four year varsity starter on her high school softball team playing third and second base; she also served as a captain for two years. Katy was selected for the freshman all-star team, Mid-Penn honorable mention, second team, and first team two years in a row, and second team All-State. She was a member of the National Honor Society as well as a group called Peer Leaders. She was in concert band for four years where she played the French horn and participated in street band playing the Mellophone for two years. In each of her four years in concert band, she was hand selected to participate in the All-County Band. During her last semester in high school she did an internship at a special needs school, the Franklin Learning Center; she will also be working at the school this summer for the extended school year. While at her internship she helped run the Special Olympics, ran the physical education class, and helped in aquatics class each week voluntarily.
Toni-ann is a recent graduate of St. Joseph by-the-Sea High School in Staten Island, New York. She was a member of National Honor Society, Senior Brothers & Sisters, and maintained a full, academic scholarship for all four years. She was a member of the varsity volleyball and softball teams. For softball, she was voted Team MVP by her coaches in her junior year, and in her senior year she was a member of their undefeated state championship team. At graduation, Toni-ann was honored with the school’s Scholar-Athlete award. Toni-ann also volunteers for various activities in her community. She serves as a Teen Peer Leader for the YMCA, and helps out at many softball clinics and local preschools. Toni-ann will be attending Fairleigh Dickinson University Florham in the fall where she will major in business and play softball.
Nicole is a recent graduate from Cherokee High School in Marlton, New Jersey, she graduated with a 3.5 average. She has played 3 years or varsity softball and was captain her senior year. In her senior year she held the team high batting average and was selected for Second Team All Conference her junior and senior year. Nicole has participated in National Honor Society, Technology Honor Society, and is a member of the Student Athletic Training program. Nicole will be attending The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and will play softball and major in special education.
Carly is a 2010 graduate of Oakcrest High School and lives in Mullica Township, New Jersey. Carlyplayed varsity soccer for 3 years, was a team captain in 2009, and her 2008 team was a South Jersey Group 4 finalist. She played varsity softball for 4 years, was team captain and MVP as a junior and senior, and earned All League and Press of Atlantic City honors each year, including 1st Team honors as a senior. She is a member of the 100 hit club, and holds the school single season and career records for hits, runs, and stolen bases. She is a member of Student Council, Interact Club, and the National Honor Society, and has been involved with and raised money for the Large Animal Protection Society (LAPS) since 5th grade. She will attend the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University and major in biology and play Division II softball for the Pioneers.
Danielle is a recent graduate of Newton High School in Newton, New Jersey, where she played both varsity softball and soccer. She was ranked in the top 5 in her graduating class, and has received Summa Cum Laude every marking period, with a GPA of over 4.5. Danielle was a member of the National Honor Society, a Co-President of the Interact Club, a Student Council Officer, and a member of the Science and Math League teams, both of which placed 1st in the county. She also earned her Girl Scout Gold Award. Danielle was a 4 year varsity starter for Newton, and played second base. This past season, she reached her 100th hit, finishing with 109 total for her high school career. Danielle was the Offensive Player of the Year for her team for 3 years, and she was named All League Honorable Mention and 2nd Team All League over her four years. Danielle was also a captain of the soccer team her senior year. In the fall, she will be attending Stevens Institute of Technology, will major in engineering, and will continue to play softball for the Ducks.
Morgan is a recent graduate of St. Joseph High School of Hammonton, NJ. As a four-year Varsity starter, Morgan was a three-time 1st Team (Softball) Cape Atlantic League National Conference Player. A three-time 1st Team (Softball) All Group All-Non-Public Player. A two-time 1st Team (Softball) All South Jersey Player. She was selected into the 2009 Carpenter Cup and was the 2010 Cape Atlantic League National Conference- Joe Clements Award recipient for Outstanding Female Athlete. Morgan celebrated her 100th hit this past season along with a batting average of 636 with 51 hits, 54 RBI’s and 9 home runs. Morgan was also a four-year Varsity starter in soccer. Morgan is a volunteer with the Folsom Drug Alliance Basketball program for kids from K to 4th grade. She also volunteer’s at the Field of Dreams in Absecon NJ. Morgan was voted most Athletic Female by her classmates. Morgan will be attending Saint Joseph’s University this fall majoring in English/Sports Journalism.
Emma is a recent graduate of Brick Township High School in Brick, NJ. She was a member of the varsity softball and volleyball teams through all four years. Emma was an active member of the National Honor Society, liaison to the K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital, student ambassador to the Board of Education and recently received the 2010 Ocean County Superintendents’ Award for Scholarship, Leadership and Service. Emma will be attending York College of Pennsylvania in the Fall where she has been accepted into the Nursing Program.
Danielle is a recent graduate of Woodbridge High School in Bridgeville Delaware. She has played four years of varsity field hockey earning All-Conference honors in 2007 and 2008. Danielle also played four years of varsity softball and as a pitcher earned All-Conference honors each year as well as Team MVP in the 2008 and 2010 seasons. She was Team Captain in 2009 and 2010and a member of the Delaware South Carpenter Cup team in 2008. Danielle was a DIAA Scholar Athlete for four years while holding a 3.76 GPA. She is a member of the National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society and National Spanish Honor Society, Varsity Club and Student Government. She is a four year volunteer at Lifecare at Lofland and Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, Delaware. Danielle will be attending Wilmington University in New Castle, Delaware where she will be a member of the softball team. Her major will be Elementary Education.
Samantha is a recent graduate of Glasgow High School in Newark, DE, where she was a four year member of the Varsity volleyball, basketball, and softball teams. She had the honor of being named Capitan, as well as being named to all-conference teams in all three sports, and was voted most athletic female of her high school class. She was named MVP her junior year, and Offensive Player of the Year her senior year on the softball team. Samantha volunteers with several organizations including, Special Olympics, the American Cancer Society, and the Middletown Senior Center. Samantha will be attending Delaware State University in the fall where she will major in Math Education.
Leanda is a recent graduate of Brandywine Heights High School in Topton, PA. While a student at Brandywine, she was a member of the National Honor Society, president of the Art Club, president of the Athletic Training Club, and a member of the Cascade Brigade (juggling club). Leanda was the starting catcher for the Brandywine Bullets varsity team four consecutive years and served as captain during her senior year. During her catching career, the Bullets were the Berks County champions for three straight years, the PIAA District III champions four years in a row and reached the PIAA, Class AA championship game in 2007 and 2009. Leanda earned Berks All-county status her sophomore through senior years. Leanda provided volunteer assistance to the Brandywine Girls Softball League, helping to enhance the skills of younger players, as well as assisting with coaches and player clinics. She also served as an assistant coach for a ten-and-under summer league team. Leanda will be attending Arcadia University this fall, where she will play softball and major in Graphic Design
Christina is a 2010 graduate from Yorktown High School in Westchester County, NY. In addition to being on the Principals List and High Honor Roll all 4 years, she was vice president of her senior class, played soccer, basketball and softball, and participated in many clubs including the National Honor Society, SADD and VAASA. She has been head coach for a girl’s basketball team for two years and has participated in many softball clinics teaching softball skills to the girls. Christina’s favorite thing is to “give back” which is shown by the 800+ volunteer hours she has given to various sports related groups. Christina is going to study Physical Education, Health and Coaching at Springfield College in Massachusetts where she hopes to continue her volunteer work and leadership.
Amanda recently graduated from Ewing High School in Ewing, New Jersey with a 4.0 GPA. Throughout her four years of high school, Amanda played varsity soccer, basketball, and softball. Amanda served as captain of the varsity basketball and softball team her senior year. During high school, she participated in the Coffee for the Soul Club, National Honor Society, and Peer Leadership. Amanda is very involved in her church and has participated in many community service projects including mission trips to Savannah, Georgia and Fort Liberte, Haiti. Amanda received all conference Honorable Mention honors her junior year. Her senior year, she received all conference first team honors as well as all area second team. In addition, she was selected for the third team all South Jersey. Amanda was a league leader in doubles as well as a team leader in many categories. She will be attending Cedarville University in Ohio this fall where she will major in Christian Education/Youth Ministry and play softball.
Christine is a recent graduate of Walt Whitman H.S., Huntington Station, NY. She was a member of the National Honor Society; selected to the Walt Whitman’s Principal’s List and was a New York State Scholar Athlete. She is a recipient of the Suffolk County Gold Key Award for receiving 8 letters in three years, in field hockey, winter track and softball. Christine was a 4-year Varsity Softball player. She was selected to the Suffolk County Umpire Association’s All-Tournament team, All-Division, All-County and in her senior year Captain of her school team. Christine will be attending Dominican College, Honors Program in the fall, majoring in Biology and playing softball.
Caitlin Palmieri recently graduated from Arundel High School in Maryland. In addition to having the highest batting average in the county her sophmore and senior year, she played four years of varsity softball where she was a three time 1st Team All-County and All-Metro player. Caitlin has always tried to do whatever she can to make a difference in the lives of those who are less fortunate. She has been involved in helping at soup kitchens, providing gifts and food for families during the holidays along with donating her hair to locks of love. Caitlin will be attending Aiken Technical College in South Carolina in the fall of 2010 where she will major in business and play softball.
Kari recently graduated from Franklin High School in Franklin, Massachusetts. Kari is a catcher and she has played softball since kindergarten, travel teams since age 10, and varsity all four years of high school. As a freshman on the team Kari received the MVP award; followed by the Impact Player of the Year in her sophomore year. As a senior Kari was honored with the captain title. Kari also enjoyed volunteering her time at a local Therapeutic Horsemanship program for Autistic children. During her senior year she maintained an honor roll average. Kari will attend/ play for Le Moyne College this fall and will major with a concentration in Business.
Nicole will be graduating from Newark Valley High School located in Newark Valley, NY this year. She has been the starting catcher for her varsity team for five years, of which three of those years she has been a captain. In her sophomore, junior and senior years, she was named M.V.P. Nicole received 1st team IAC conference all star those three years also. In her freshman year, she received 2nd team all star. This past year, she was the President of Student Council, and has been an active member since 9th grade. She was also part of the Interact Club, National Honor Society and was the senior class treasurer. Nicole will be attending the University of Rochester in the fall where she will play softball and major in Financial Economics.
Heidi recently graduated from Cab Calloway School of the Arts in Wilmington, Delaware. She was a 5 year Varsity starter for Charter School of Wilmington, and voted Captain her junior and senior year. Heidi received All Conference 1st Team two years in a row, All State HM her junior year, and All State 2nd Team her senior year. In addition to making the Honor Roll all semesters and graduating with a 4.2 GPA, Heidi was a member of the National Honor Society and Best Buddies Club. Heidi will be attending Millersville University in the fall majoring in Mathematics Education and playing softball.
